The Mets lost to the Braves 15-2.
The winning pitcher was Jair Jurrjens (10-8) and the losing pitcher was Bobby Parnell (3-5)
Noteworthy:
Bobby Parnell was terrible in his 3rd big league start allowing 9 runs in 3.0 innings.
The Braves scored 8 runs in the second inning just like the Mets did 2 nights ago. The inning was capped by a Brian McCann 3 run homerun.
My opinion:
This was just a sloppy game all around.
The defense was terrible as Anderson Hernandez made some throwing errors and Luis Castillo did not cover on a potential double play.
The pitching was also terrible not only Bobby Parnell but with the "all mighty" one of Omar Minaya's "genius signings" in the off season: Tim Redding.
And finally the offense was dormant once again.
[Sorry the recaps have been late or not at all as I was at the game on Tuesday an Wednesday and arrived home late]
